Dr. Janina Elliott has 19 years of experience in exploration and across the mining chain, including 12 years at Seequent dedicated to geoscience software and data management. In her career, she has been instrumental in driving technological innovation within the mining segment.
Janina’s deep expertise and thought leadership help develop more sustainable and efficient mining practices. She actively supports women in technology, geoscience, energy and mining initiatives, which aim to improve the representation and development of women and female leaders across STEM.

With a Ph.D. in Geology from The University of British Columbia and a Master of Science in Geology from the University of Birmingham, Janina has a distinguished academic background. During her university years, she actively published in Economic Geology and was a member of several renowned research projects at MDRU and CODES that shape porphyry copper and gold exploration to this day.
Beyond her professional role, Janina volunteers in her local community of Bowen Island, supporting early childhood education and community engagement.
